🏷️ Job Overview

The Instructor – Stitching (Mashkicha) will train students in tailoring and garment stitching, focusing on both theory and practice. The instructor will also evaluate trainee performance, maintain attendance and progress records, and ensure safety and discipline in class.

📝 Job Description

The ideal candidate will conduct daily classroom sessions on stitching, demonstrate the use of sewing tools and machines, and maintain safety and quality standards during training. The role involves supervising students, preparing reports, and contributing to the improvement of vocational programs at THF.

🎯 Key Responsibilities

Conduct daily theory and practical classes in stitching and tailoring.
Demonstrate safe use of sewing machines, materials, and related tools.
Monitor and evaluate trainee work to ensure proper stitching techniques.
Maintain attendance, performance, and assessment records accurately.
Prepare monthly progress and performance reports for students.
Participate in refresher courses or Training of Trainers (TOT) programs.
Ensure cleanliness, discipline, and organization within the training area.
Support students in developing technical and soft skills for employability.
Perform other duties as assigned by the Training Center Manager.

🧠 Required Skills

Strong stitching and tailoring expertise with attention to detail.
Good communication and classroom management skills.
Ability to guide and motivate trainees of different skill levels.
Basic computer literacy for reporting and record-keeping.
Understanding of safety procedures in a training environment.

📚 Eligibility Criteria

Minimum Intermediate qualification or Diploma of Associate Engineering (DAE).
2–3 years of teaching or industrial stitching experience.
Certification in TVET or Competency-Based Training (CBT) is an advantage.
Strong work ethic and passion for technical education.
